Cafe Cloud Atlas
I had a dream.
We met again.
In a cafe.
Right in the middle of a sea
of faces both familiar and unknown.
You hung out with a different set now.
A friend of ours had a daughter.
I wanted to tell her she was the best thing
her Dad had ever done
but eventually thought
I know better.
Her eyes told stories
I had long lost touch with.
Your eyes told stories
different from the ones I knew.
Before the clouds got hold of us, you promised
to write a letter
that could only be deciphered by me.
And then we floated away.
Towards horizons unknown.
Where it becomes increasingly difficult
to tell
between sunrises and sunsets.
I had a dream.
We met again.
In a cafe.
Right in the middle of a sea
of faces both familiar and unknown.
You hung out with a different set now.
A friend of ours had a daughter.
I wanted to tell her she was the best thing
her Dad had ever done

And then we floated away.
Towards horizons unknown.
Where it becomes increasingly difficult
to tell
between sunrises and sunsets.
